HOWARD JONES

CHAIRMAN

Howard was educated at Barnett Wood, West Ashtead and Therfield. At Emmanuel College, Cambridge University he studied History and then Law. He has been a practising Criminal Barrister since 1992. Howard was a candidate in the 2010 District Council election for Park Ward where he came second. He has lived in Ashtead for over 40 years and has two children who attend schools in Ashtead. He has been Chairman since the Summer of 2010. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Epsom and Ewell Conservative Association.

Howard is a keen historian. A lover of cricket and has recently requalified as a football referee.

BRIAN GRIFFIN

Committee Member

Brian is a Human Resources professional who is now freelance. Brian joined the Conservative party in 2007 out of frustration with the Labour Government. He felt that too many people were expressing their anger but were unwilling to get out of their armchairs do anything about it. His interests lie in Charity work being a Director of two Scottish Charities helping homeless people and others needing a helping hand in London. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Ashtead for 3 years and is currently chairman of their International Committee and holds the role of publicity officer.
